January 1, 2010:
The bill becomes law and the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) then has the responsibility for developing the rules and regulations to implement the bill and it will gear up to accept LPCC applications. The BBS will post information on the implementation of SB 788 on it's website www.bbs.ca.gov
January 1, 2011:
Applications for grandparenting and reciprocity will be accepted from January 1, to June 30, 2011 by the Board of Behavioral Sciences. See Licensure Requirements. Applications for intern registration will also be accepted at this time. The BBS will likely have application forms available about October of 2010.
January 1, 2012:
Applications for regular licensure will be available for those not eligible for grandparenting or reciprocity. See Licensure Requirements.
CCCL will continually update its website, as information becomes available on providers of required coursework for licensure. See Providers of Coursework.
CCCL will publish administration dates of the required exams, as the information becomes available.
